Winter Activities Start

May 16, 2015

Today saw the start of CFFC winter activities. Murrays Casting Clinic at the Groynes unfortunately was at the mercy of the weather and as so often this season mother nature didn’t cooperate thus attendance was , not unexpectedly, lower than we would have hoped. Kevin Rivers as always , kept things going with his unique banter. Good on Murray for sticking it out.
Allan Fife will be starting the Intermediate fly tying workshops again at the Burnside Bowling club, see the forum . For beginners watch the web site as tying guru Tony Calder will be starting tying classes soon.
There’s also the ” ICE Breaker” trips to Lake Brunner in May and Ben More in June and July. Trips for the hardy angler, a good way to meet other members , learn a few things , have a few laughs and beers if you wish to indulge. Usually the days are stunning and fishing good so don’t be shy
