Upcoming events

The first winter trip of the year is a trip down to Lake Benmore on 14th – 16th June

Our next trip will also be a trip to Lake Benmore on 19th & 20th July.

Our August trip will be a trip to Lake Coleridge & Lake Selfe, this is on weekend 22nd – 23rd.

During September we have our casting day on 14th and our next “Learn to fly fish” school is on 28th & 29th.

For the opening of the season, we have a trip booked for Hanmer Springs on 4th – 6th October

November sees our annual pilgrimage to Twizel (details to be announced).

Attend a Meeting: First Tuesday of the Month

For our June meeting which is on 4th, we will be having another one of our “speed dating sessions” this time featuring

Euro Nymphing
Basic Spey
Fly Composition
Beginners section

All these sessions will be run by our own club members.

We will also have our regular tip, tie & spot and of course our world famous (in NZ) raffle

Everyone is welcome and the club encourages people with little or no experience to come along to club activities and learn from other members. The club is also privileged to have some of the most experienced and geared up fly fishers in NZ, active members who are only too happy to share valuable information
