While Chch sweltered in 30 degree heat a few hardy fisher gents headed west to Moana, and rain. The rain didn’t slow down the sandflies but I must say the fishing was a little slow. Everyone caught something but we’ve had better days. One good point to make weather wise was no wind all weekend. A car rally on Saturday closed roads so made access to some places a bit tricky and plan B was implemented. The gin flowed freely on Friday night and many grand plans were set in place. Sadly I didn’t win lotto so sorry guys the trip to Argentina is off. Needless to say Saturday was much more reserved. Sunday weather was drier but the fish no more active. Still a great trip, great company and couldn’t think of a better way to spend a weekend.
